Hey all, After shutting down my laptop running Vista, the next day I couldn't connect to the internet. It connects to the network but says "unidentified network" and there is no internet connectivity.

Vista Unidentified network Problem It is a bug in Vista. Vista does not preset a MAC address for the network card. As a result the network card identifies itself as: 00-00-00-00-00-00 this causes problems with any standard equipment. To fix this go to: Device Manger and view driver details for the network card. If any network location in Vista is public then the public location firewall rules apply (currently for me that means non discoverable etc).
